Wellbeing at Cornfield School

At Cornfield School, student well-being is at the heart of everything we do. We understand that a child’s emotional, social, and mental health is just as important as their academic progress. Our goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every student feels valued, listened to, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Our approach to well-being is holistic, meaning we focus on the whole child – their physical health, emotional resilience, and social connections. From the moment students arrive at school, we strive to ensure they feel secure and cared for. Through a combination of pastoral support, mental health resources, and tailored interventions, we actively promote positive well-being, so our students are better equipped to manage challenges and succeed both in school and beyond.

Wellbeing Programs and Support

We offer a range of programs and initiatives aimed at boosting well-being, including:

Mental Health Support: We provide access to trained counsellors and therapists who work with students facing emotional or psychological challenges. Our school-based therapy team is always on hand to offer one-on-one sessions and group activities.
Pastoral Care: Our dedicated pastoral care team works closely with students to provide emotional support, ensuring they feel safe, understood, and supported throughout their school journey.
Physical Health and Nutrition: We promote healthy eating habits and physical activity through our well-rounded curriculum and extra-curricular activities. A healthy body supports a healthy mind, and we encourage students to make informed choices about their diet and fitness.
Mindfulness and Resilience Building: Regular mindfulness activities, well-being workshops, and resilience training help students develop the skills to cope with stress, build self-esteem, and develop a positive mindset.
Peer Support Networks: We encourage students to be there for each other through peer mentoring programs and positive relationship-building activities. This helps create a culture of empathy and inclusivity across the school.

Your Child’s Wellbeing Matters to Us

At Cornfield School, we are committed to fostering a community that prioritizes well-being, because we believe that happy, healthy students are best placed to achieve their full potential.
