Rights Respecting
Proud to be a Rights Respecting School
At Cornfield School, we are proud to be a Rights Respecting School, committed to promoting and upholding the rights of every child, as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
In our school, we believe that every student has the right to an education, to be heard, and to feel safe and respected. By embedding these principles into our everyday practices, we create an environment where all students can thrive both academically and emotionally.
Rights Respecting
Rights Respecting Meaning
Our commitment to rights respecting education not only enhances the school experience but also prepares our students to become compassionate and responsible citizens. We are currently at Bronze level as it is our first year but we are excited to continue this journey together as we travel towards the Gold standard and ensuring that our school is a place where everyone’s rights are respected and upheld.
Being a Rights Respecting School means:
01
Empowerment
We encourage our students to understand their rights and responsibilities, fostering a sense of ownership over their learning and well-being.
02
Respect
We promote respect for all individuals, celebrating diversity and ensuring that everyone feels valued and included.
03
Collaboration
We work together with students, staff, and families to create a supportive community where everyone’s voice matters.
