At Cornfield School our Student Council gives students a meaningful voice in school life. It is an important part of helping our young people feel listened to, respected, and involved in decisions that affect them.

How It Works
Students volunteer or are nominated to join the Student Council. Each potential member will deliver a presentation as to why they should be elected. The whole school community have the opportunity to vote for a peer within their tutor group, who they feel will be able to effectively advocate for them. Meetings take place regularly with support from staff who help guide discussions and ensure students feel comfortable and respected.
Student Council actively represent the school in external events, such as laying a reef as part of the local Remembrance Day Celebrations.
